As tempting as it may be, the XM203 does build up heat each time the unit is fired. So you are not able to keep firing for a long period.

This is something you need to be mindful of as a user.

• You could tear a seal which will disable the unit from firing until swapped out.
• Too much heat could damage the XM203 or inflict a burn if touched.
• Annoy others in the game due to the constant firing.

Please do not abuse the unit, yourself and others around you by overfiring the XM203.

Constantly check if the front-firing sleeve is getting hot. It can get warm but you should be able to hold it with your hand to ensure you are not overheating the unit(50-100 shots).

If you cannot hold it with your hand, then you need to stop and let the unit cool down for 2-3minutes. Once you can hold the firing sleeve with your hand, you can continue firing the XM203.
